Anybody have any pictures or info of Lance's 1932 B-400 that Nelson Dupree built the ch***is for and I think Kieth Cornell eventually chopped? There was an article about Nelson building the frame in a September 03 American Rodder magazine but I have never seen anything further on it in print or online. Just wondering what ever became of it. Thanks.

No, it's a real one. Lance moved to a new house, and the project was put on the back burner for a while. Hasn't been touched since the magazine story on the ch***is (which is awesome!). I saw it last summer in storage, along with the parts he's gonna use on it, and it's gonna be incredible! But I don't know if he wants me blabbing his plans on here...I will say that he redid his '34 roadster, changing it to a '33, different wheels and tires, and an original '40 Ford drivetrain with a wild history behind it...I'll let him know there's some interest on here, and see if he logs on - he's a HAMBer...
I asked Nelson about the B-400 a couple of weeks ago at the Rolling Bones garage night. He said the car is still un-worked since the ch***is was done. He did expect work to start again soon. That is going to be one knock-out rod.
Thanks for the info. I have just pouring over that article lately and was just wondering if it was ever finished. I love the way Nelson Dupre builds his ch***is's.
Okay, just talked with Lance. I told him about this thread and he tried to log on, and according to HAMB intelligence, he no longer exists...Anyway, it's not chopped yet, but it will be, and Lance will do the deed hisself, as always. He's been collecting parts forever, and the crown jewels of his collection will all be on this car. It'll be a rolling museum of hot rod history, featuring the odd and horrifying, the strange and bizarre, and of course, it'll all be ***embled with a wink and a grin. He's frustrated about the delay, but says it'll be worth it, and he hasn't disappointed yet...
