Car is gone!! 1/4/11 I got a 55 dodge that just needs to go asap if anyone wants it call me or text me. landlord gave me shit and wants it out by tomorrow. I got nowhere to store it and I rather give it away to someone that will bring it back to life than take it to my local scrapyard. crushing any classic car just goes against my beliefs and will rather give it away than scrapping it. 714-three 666 422 needs to go tomorrow!!! for pics look up 55 dodge on the classifieds
Is it a hardtop? or a 4 door? Engine and tranny in place? I like tranny's, After the surgery, mind you...

Shit, I'd pay money for the lower rear quarters cut off this thing, if they're as nice as I assume they are (California car). If anyone out there gets this to part out let me know. Also, very cool you're willing to give it away to keep it from getting crushed.
Where are all the whiners complaining about 'hoarders'? On the same note, I posted a 2 dr Chevy wagon for sale and not a single response.
true that. kudos for offering it up for free; now.... SOMEBODY GO GET IT. there has to be SOMEONE in the Anaheim area with enough space to hold a 55 dodge, a couple of hours free time, and access to a rollback or a trailer.
The issue with the car you posted (IMHO) is that it's far too expensive. No title means big trouble with the DMV - and you say yourself it's going to take a genius to get it back to decent shape. Quite a bit different from a guy saying 'car for free'. Not dogging you, just expressing my opinion.
This isn't Texas Anybody can walk into the DMV and ask for a Vin verification. The DMV will come outside and inspect the Vin and hand you a Vin verification, you then go back inside and ask for a Statement of facts form. You fill out the form and state you are the owner and the value is under $5,000 and hand in the form and pay the title fees. Your new California title will arrive in about 3 weeks. You don't even have to register it and buy plates. This is for cars not in the state computer system. There are other easy ways if it is still in the system.
