Cool read! I think I've seen almost all of those films!

  2. If milners coupe is not even in the top 10 its a crock of shite right there. What tomatoe heads picked these?

  3. That list sucked. Milner's coupe should be in the top 5 at least, and for the love, the Mini Coopers from the Italian Job? Who cares!

The list is lame for sure, but cool to be reminded of some of those cars again.

  9. I have to agree, most of the cars were pretty lame even by movie standards. Wheres James Deans Merc? Wheres the deuce roadster Spencer Tracey tags in the door from"Guess whos coming to dinner?"{hows that for an obscure movie car reference?}BTW, speaking of movie cars, has anyone heard more about "Duece of spades" by our own "Hiboy girl"?

I agree, no willys of Hot Rod, no 55 from two lane, (was good to see the falcon from Mad Max though)

If the list is taken in the context of the most memorable movie cars to the average, non-car enthusiast moviegoer, it's a pretty decent list. You have to ask yourself how recognizable your own personal favorite obscure movie car is to the general movie audiences before you wonder why it isn't here. I mean, where is Robert Mitchums' full house Y block powered '50 Ford from Thunder Road? The beater Charger Daytona from Joe Dirt? The smoky '74 Mercury from Uncle Buck? The Chicken Pit Special from Stroker Ace? The '61 Caddy convert from My Cousin Vinny? or anything from It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World? Your buddies' wife wouldn't know any of those, but she would probably remember the Minis from the Italian Job remake.

this list needs an enema . . . badly

lists the herkemer battle jitney in his aftertought, but never mentions the jeepers creepers 41 chev COE?

  15. You are absolutely right ...this list is obviously not put together by a car guy ....I now all the cars in it, but certainly would not have them in that order ...and a lot of them I wouldn't even put in my top 50 list ...But that's me and being a car guy it would be lil more biased towards AG and Hollywood Knights.

    You mean the Studebaker?

Maybe my car will be on the list someday if the movie it was in ever gets released. There's a trailer on YouTube so maybe it's getting close.

The movie is called Razor and it was filmed here in Lake Havasu City in early 2006. I'm still not sure of the plot except that they had a hyena riding in my back seat and it took me months to get the smell out.

I didn't like it either. I thought sure Topper would be in there. The whole story was about the car/crash.

    One: Milner's Coupe

    Two: Falfa's '55

    Three: Bullitt's Mustang

Four : The last of the V8 Interceptors

    Five through fifty: Who cares

  19. Any details on this flick? Director, etc.? Loks like Seann William Scott and Sid Haig, cool that Sid is making a comeback.
Did the production co. fuck up your car, other than the smell?

you'd think having a role in 2 movies the "2 lane blacktop 55" should have gotten a place

I was just kidding about the smell. They added the hyena in post production. I met Sid and the actor driving my car was Richard Moll, the baliff on Night Court. He was 6'8" and made my car look small.

James Lay was the director and part of the movie was shot near Palmdale, CA where the trained hyena lived. Not all of the actors had a part in the scenes filmed here. Sid was a cool guy and talked about a car he was building when we had dinner together at the biker bar in Desert Hills.

Whatta load of crap. Just like most of those movies. How about the movie "Pit Stop'? It has close to 50 real cars way cooler than most on that lame-ass list. Never seen it? It has footage of real figure 8 racing destruction that will make ya cringe. They forgot "Thunder Road" also. Dorks!

  24. I knew this list would get a good reaction here. Have you all seen the Internet Movie Cars Database? http://www.imcdb.org

American Graffiti is such an Iconic movie .. how do you not have Milner's ride as number 1 ..and while on the subject that movie also introduced us all to a new sex symbol in Susan Summers in the white 57 T ... that car should be on the list as well. Steve McQueen's Gulf 917 Porsche from the movie Le Mans ?

Two Lane black Top ... " That Plymouth had a hemi with a TorqeFlite. I believed we sawed the guy off even if we did lose 200 " And lets not forget Warren Oats' GTO Judge !

How about Danza's 57 Chevy in Hollywood Knights?

The Car car should be a LOT higher than 44. But fun to read nonetheless.

Max's V8 Interceptor - best movie car off all time.

These lists are always lame and too influenced by recent pop culture, like whenever there's a greatest albums of all time list with anything from the last ten years in the top ten.

Can't believe James Dean's Merc didn't even make the top 100.
