what's up?! well i am trying to use some really cool caddy caps I came up with. As far as i can tell they are 1956, I am struggling finding steel wheels they will fit in because of thier deep dish. Anyone have any ideas on where to start? I am like most guys and would like to keep the costs down but if i have to order special made wheels for them I will. Thanks for any advice you can give!

    Start with '56 Caddy wheels...

    edit:
OK that was too easy. There are a couple of threads on here about the '56 caps. One year only wheel fitment, Caddy had a reversed wheel that year I believe was riveted together. Do a search, maybe somebody had additional inputs... I have a set of those caps on the shelf too, cool aren't they?

First a guys has to ask what bolt pattern you have to be able to give you an idea of where to look for wheels.

Certain models had steelies that are almost like reverse wheels. One example is the mid 70's rear wheel drive Caddy Sevilles. Their steel wheels are offset to the outside about an inch to an inch and a half over a comparable Chevy or Olds 15 inch wheel with 5-3/4 bolt pattern.

Back in the 50's and 60's wagons often had wider wheels with a nice offset to the outside and were popular to swap to regular sedans or hardtops for the reverse look that would also help with hub cap clearance.
