Anyone know (besides ebay) where I can research old license plate values? I'm in a last minute crunch with an estate sale setup & found a stash of vintage car, truck & motorcycle plates ranging from the 20's to the 60's.

The later stuff isn't a problem as I've deal with those but the early stuff has me a bit lost, especially the cycle stuff.

Thanks for any & all leads.

These are all NY plates. Back in the day the guy had a Henderson dealership.

I paid $225.00 for a nice set of 28 CA plates. Good Luck.

  5. There is a guy in NY who gets like $60-$75 for a pair of 1960s motorcycle plates. The earlier ones a bit more.

Car plates run from $15 a pair to $500 a pair. Really depends on the year. How early you talking about?

There are bike plates from 1926 through 1973 (not a complete set but darn near).

The car and truck ones run from 1924 to 1939.

Only pairs are 1932 and 1934 car & 1937,39 commercial

There is a guy on the HAMB O'Dex that deals in plates. Hope he'll be straight with you on prices. Its a huge range to guess on without actually seing them. I do know that they are surely very valuable and desireable. Good luck man!

Thanks everyone for the input, couple of leads really helped me out. The pics are ****py but finally got uploaded to the company website.

Guy was into motorcycles & cars, toys pin-up stuff and a bunch more. Tons of neat old stuff there, the pictures don't do the place justice. I'll be there Friday & Saturday if any area HAMBers stop by.
