I own one. Its imported, but a step above most. If you dont use it 40 hrs/week it'll serve you well. Grizzly is a good company.

Check this out if you are looking for a CP planishing hammer this is a copy made in America. From what I have heard on the metal shaping forums this is a good choice.

Here is an option made here in Illinois. Greg is a friend of mine and one hell of a machininst. He used to fabricate and sell English wheels before selling that business off and starting the hammer business.

The owner is named Neil Dundar and a very nice man to deal with.
Superb quality and he will make custom dies for you.

I've had one of his hammers since he started making them about four years ago.

Steve, that is definitely a nice looking machine, I plan on calling them tomorrow to get some pricing. i Just wonder in the throat with be deep enough for larger panels when the time comes.

    Thank you,

If you need a large machine, look in to one of the CP kits offered by Jay Hayes. Details are available on the AllMetalShaping.com forum.

The guys who have both the big and little (Neil's) machines say they tend to use the smaller one more often; the bigger size isn't needed in most cases.
