    .....or the owner of it......
Apparently after a few threads on where the Bob Hegge may be or a contact on how to find some of his work..... His Nephew made contact with me yesterday and i have his info!
He has asked me to post his info here to get in contact with him.

Doug Pizac is Bob's Nephew and lives in Utah.... and it the sole guardian of Bob's Collection....
Those not familiar with Mr. Hegge's work ..... He was prolific in MANY automotive rags from the 50's 60's and later(HOT ROD, CarCraft,etc,etc...)

My Truck was shot by Bob for HRM in '61 and i have been looking to contact Doug for over 10 years.....
Doug is an accomplished shooter himself.... interning with the National Geographical Society and working with the Associated press for 30+ years.
Doug also has worked for Pacific Promotions back in the day(now Autorama)

Doug has told me he has never before seen(or maybe rarely seen) shots of Big Daddy building his very early creations.....(cool factor---off the charts)

I mentioned to Doug briefly that the AHRF show be interested in all of his and his uncles archival shots....(read WOW!)
    Are you listening AHRF?
Doug may chime in here..... and if he does he can go thru this link...

    http://www.ahrf.com/

Any how.... this is great news.... Cause i have been searching for this for over 10 years.......

    Doug's contact info........

    Jeff;
Bob Larivee Sr. is selling a book with many photos of the old show cars. He may have info on the where abouts of more photos. I saw Bob Sr. down in Pomona at the GNRS. He was selling his books.

He sent me a note also. I remember Bob wandering the floors of the AutoRama's in St. Louis, and shooting away. Dad was the chairman for the show in the 60's, so it was fun gettin' access to things and folks.
Doug also has a ton of Bob's 'Roth' construction shots of several of his creations. Can't wait to see them.

There's going to be ALOT of happy campers after hearing this news. It seems like all the 50's and 60's show and car coverage from the middle part of the country was done by Mr. Hegge! Many guys will get some quality vintage shots of stuff they have.

Robert Hegge shot a lot of pics for Rod Action as a freelancer in the late 70's -early 80's...I ran the back issue dept and the mail room...Used to mail his checks out...

I am also REALLY looking forward to these photos. Bob photographed a 1929 roadster my Dad built. I just today received the September 1961 issue of Hot Rod magazine which featured the car, photographed by Bob Hegge, on pages 68 and 69.
I hope Doug has more photos of it!!

So . . . whatever happened to the archival stash that the nephew apparently has?

And how the heck does hotrodarchaeologist fit into this story?
