Does anyone have any information about a lot full of old cars (30's and 40's) at 25 Hawthorne Street near Cleveland Street in Elyria, Ohio? You can see them from route 10. It blew my mind.
That is one of his yards. I've never seen the other but I hear it's even bigger. It's mostly what appears to be 40-41 b. o. p. They restore some cars, I'll try to get some pix this weekend it's about a mile from my house.
I've seen the same yard. I've even driven right by the place several times, but can not remember the name of the place? Lots of neat looking stuff though. It's right around the corner from my Mom's ***isted living place and my powder coater (Creative Powder Coatings,Inc.) I'll be up that way this coming Saturday, maybe I can get some more info? Also, anyone looking for a good powder coater, one who has an oven big enough to do a full-size ch***is, might want to check them out. They're in Elyria, OH
Just got back from today's trip up north and still don't know much about this salvage lot in Elyria, OH, but I did get some photographs. Sorry about the quality, but it was a pretty ugly day weather wise. Also, there is nothing more than a building at 25 Hawthorne Street. This yard is at the railroad tracks on S. Abbe Road, northeast corner of the railroad crossing. The bridge over the tracks, in the background is Route 10, 57, 113 combined. The best picture to be had was probably off that bridge, but on a day like today, I wasn't that ambitious.
Any of you guys take a ride out to see that yard for of old cars.and trucks out on state rt 14 about maybe 10 miles off i-76 I p*** it all the time with my rig and he has some nice.cool stuff in there it looks like. He has some.20's 4 doors out in front.
