Has anyone ever mated a 401 or 425 to a T56? Is this possible?

Also, aside from junk yards (am I showing my age?) that are not very plentiful here, are there any sites that deal with nailheads?

    Thanks!

Let me correct the above. Can anyone recommend a good source (site, etc) for nailheads and speed parts, etc. I've been googling without a great deal of luck so far.

    Tanxs!

Suedesled on here has some speed **** for nailheads too and I think he just did a trans adapter for a 364-401-425 but that probably wont help you.

There are a group of guys making parts for nailheads again.I think they are NWspeed. They also bought out Eelco and Hurst racing tires (not affiliated with the shifter co.)

Bendtsen makes adapters to Chevy bellhousings I think they are "transmissionadapters.com"

Are you getting the adapter from www.transmissionadapters.com?

Can't wait to see how this works out. Any info you can impart concerning the clutch, etc., will also be great.

Also, any info on the car would be appreciated too!

    Thanks!

it's goin in the FnA if i ever get my *** back to work on it. i wil likely be modifying an aluminum bellhousing to fit. i have one that was for an AMC manual trans to Nailhead. it's a cool lookin piece, cast aluminum with fins. i have to buy the trans to see what mods will be required. prolly go with a hydraulic clutch for simplicitys sake.i hope to be doing that in the next couple months. look for my posts on the subject. here is the "FnA", which it'll be going in...

    Cool looking art work.

Can't wait to see how you progress.

I've just had a conversation with the transmission adapter guy and he doesn't make it sound too easy to mate a manual to a nailhead. At least from his perspective.

    Thanks!
