Morning, Saucerhead did you ever finish that 56 F100 that you bought from a friend of mine and myself (New Hudson/South Lyon Mi area). My name is Chuck and his is Larry. You picked it up at his house.

Chuck, the 56 f100 has been on the road 10+ years and 45k miles. Shots of it have been in Goodguys mag more than once . Been a great truck. If you have the patience, sift through some of the crap, there are some picks on Google under Chris Staneck . Good to hear from you.

Not a feature but some ink from Santa Maria 2008 on Page 8 Volume #41. Pat Ganal had me (park my 51 Ford F-1 "Sanford&Son" next to Brian Collins 34 pick up) accross from the Santa Maria Inn.

  6. RJ #11 Had 3 of our cars.......Can't scan all of them because they are across 2 pages with crease in middle...Steve had his shop in Wallingford, CT for a while, so we became good friends with him. This is just the first page (Pg 96-111). There is also a picture with both '32's on the index page, way before Steve did the article. My 5-Windo was still in primer then and had magnesium halibrand wheels. (I hated cleaning them)!!

Last summer I found out my truck was in their,
just happen to bump in to a old 60's friend that told me about it.
Issue #9 was 12 tears ago, guess I'm a little slow.
Never thought my tuck would ever be considered.
Glad I still have it, lives in our barn.

Had a few articles published there, my name mentioned once in a story I shot about the Jalopy Showdown, but never had a car of mine in there. I'm just happy to have had anything to do with them at all!

    Issue #34, page 198

It's of three very dirty roadsters(roadstar's, Tommy's and a guy named Billy(no sure if he's on the HAMB) that had been at the Jalopy Showdown doing laps on the track the day before, Saturday. I took the photo Sunday morning at the Goodguys Hershey, PA after the three of us parked. I climbed to the top of a semi truck's trailer and took the shot from a birds eye vantage point. Someone from the RJ saw the photo posted on the HAMB and contacted me and asked if they could use it.

I got to see the photo shoot for the cover. They took the picture outside of a shop in Burbank at night with the car running to get the flames coming out of the exhaust. I was a couple of blocks away and could hear it fire up. It made enough noise to bring out the cops too but they didn't seem to mind too much once they saw what was making all of the noise.

  22. No cover, just a shot of my old 29 RPU coming off the salt at Bonneville in a really early issue.

Sorry to hijack the post, but the post Tommy did about his trip around the track is one of my favorite things from the show! THAT should have been in a magazine, THAT is what hot rods & having fun is about!

  25. On the HAMB or not, my favorite has always been the Tom McMullen 32 Roadster.
