If this is inappropriate or out of place, my apologies. I know some of you are looking for a job. I just saw this link on Facebook. Sounds like a cool job.

  3. That could be a good job. I would have trouble with the foreign language.I bet there are some out of work people on this site and the Ford Barn that meet or exceed these requirements.

Seems like someone on here could use it.

I've done some work with offshore vendors and its really interesting to see how the process of getting a thing built right is done.

Back then the language barrier was pretty heavy, maybe it's better now but I can really see why a chinese speaking person would help.

man, if you can speak chinese and english, there are a *lot* of opportunities!

Most of the Chinese manufacturing companies I have dealt with speak better english than I do. Would be an interesting job for someone. You may have the choice of finding local manufacturers?

That's a bit of a cheap shot, especially without any verification or facts. And, this isn't the thread for it. Why not start your own thread if you have a beef?
Or,why not get the job and straighten out what you think is wrong?

......Thanks Deuces for reporting.......This **** is all over......Can't Ryan stop it?

  12. It's probably not in the budget to do background checks on every new member and have a waiting period before you can post would kill 98% of new members I would think. WE dont get it here NEAR as much as I get it on my personal email...

I was in this business (computers and web sites) until I retired two years ago. Trust me, for a site with this volume, Ryan is doing a fine job. It's a constant fight with these ***holes. This is all they have to do, and we have to run a business first and foremost and deal with them in our "spare" time.

Do you mean "knowing"? I would think that noing where something is made would be turning it down because of where it was manufactured?

  19. And you can always PM a certain HAMBer here with first hand knowlege working there ;)

I have to work with the Chinese and if it wasn't for us they couldn't find their *** with both hands tied behind their back! I love what I do for a living but hate to see it go there and taking more jobs away from the US.

I hate to say this but two years ago I went to the 50's show up there and stopped by Drakes for a tour they were really happy with showing us where they used to make the parts but "all of it is being done offshore now because its cheaper" and they were really proud of this, last time I bought anything there..................not because its made offshore but because of their at***ude about it, it ticked me off........

  23. And did the retail come down when they could make it cheaper? Not.

  24. I bought a set of rocker panels from them about 20yrs ago and they did not fit worth a ****, that was the last dealings I had with them. Now they go out of country for manufacturing, losers!

This wasn't posted to start a discussion about offshore manufacturing or to ***** about Bob Drake. This is only information about a job in an industry most of us care about. With the economy being what it is, perhaps it could be useful to someone. If you don't have anything to say about the position being offered then don't say anything.

With the way things are going now if you can do the job and be able to feed your family I'd say jump on it..... "A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do"!!!!
Thanks hotrod40coupe for this post and I hope it helps someone get a good job.

Wake-up man, who the hell would post a position that will only take more jobs away. You listed this freaking thing, a little thinking on the front might of helped not get this on this road. Sorry! It's time we start finding jobs for people who have business's here and not freaking China!

Advertising job positions-- So THAT'S how we've lost all the jobs to the Chinese. Guess American companies better stop advertising job positions. That'll keep the jobs here.

30 posts, about 25 that have nothing to do with the initial thread ***le. 2-3 that are almost on topic and a couple of wtf's. Typical HAMB thread wouldn't you say?:(
