Warning: I'll be in Cedar Rapids, April 6-12

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by 4t64rd, Mar 7, 2005.

  1. I'll buy the first round...

I'll be looking for car stuff to do too... I heard there's a swap meet in Cedar Rapids on the 9th.

    Anything else?

Do you like motorcycle's? Come over to Anamosa and check out the Museum. Open 7 day's a week. Bring a extra load of film. Cruise the local State Park, and drive over an upside down bridge. Home made Black berrie pie sound good? No flat-land around these part's. And Tri State Dragway is only 23 minute's from here. Soild concrete.

  6. Looks like a few of us will be going to the swap meet at Hawkeye downs, do we want to have a mini HAMB meet someplace at say high noon? who knows a easily identifiable location?

I've never been there before, so I don't know the layout.

Since the whole track and infield area will be full along with all the surrounding areas i say the grandstands. Right behind the flag stand at noon saturday. Sunday is a short day for me anyway as the crowd is down and the bottom feeders come out looking for deals.

I'll be at the swap on Sat. but I don't know if I can make the noon get together. I'm riding with some other guys and it will depend upon their schedule.

  13. I'll be the big fat guy who got there early to snap up all the good stuff, I'll be wearing my new Indian Larry hat.:D

I will still be there on Saturday but not with the POR-15 guy since he is not going.
BTW - General admission gates open at 8:00 AM - no use getting there early since they won't let you in until then - at least that is the way it has been in the past - always a long line to get in the gate.
Hey Smokey - We need to talk about mol***es - see you there - I tired to get FORDY 6 & Joemac to go but I think they have other plans...Tom - restorit

I'm going to try and be there. The wife has to work saturday morning which makes me Mr. Mom.

  20. I stood by the flagpole from 11:55 to about 12:15 or so, me in all my ****y glory, the only person who showed was a mom and her kid in a stroller.

Got some good deals though, 3 NIB old style SW gauges for $30, a new in the pkg. chrome 4 gauge panel to put them in, made by SparkOmatic, it has a criss-cross patten in it, very cool for $5. A chrome plated 54 Ford oil bath air cleaner, perfect condition $65, perfectly clean finned Cal Custom SBF Valve covers to go with it for $20, MSD 6a, not a scratch on it, $80. Got some other stuff too, I have to ID one of them
