  2. Wow ! That is a pretty nice car! RE steering. TIs mostly for in the pits and staging lanes. My own belief is too fast a steering wil get you in trouble. Minor corrections is really all you make on a pass. Point & shoot is how I do it.

If you have an SPE/Strange/Flaming River steering box with the stock pitman arm (5") and SPE/Strange/Stiletto spindles with the 5" arms, a 1 to 1 ratio bellcrank should work OK. The McKinney bellcrank that he used to use in his funny cars is actually 6" on the drag link side and 5" where the tie rods attach so it has a bit of ratio built in to slow the steering down some. I used to use a bellcrank but now I just go straight to the spindle. If you are running more than 20 degrees caster the bellcrank does help although Brendan Murry's NT/F car runs 30 degrees without a bellcrank.

Yep. It was my first chute pack body, not really as hard as you would think. I learned alot and look forward to doing another sometime. I drew alot of inspiration from the Ghost, love that car. I made the chute opening quite a bit higher than the Ghost's to try and make my 5 point cage appear a little smaller.
Thanks for all the comments, sometimes that provides much needed motivation to keep a project moving along.

Thanks for the comment about the ghost being a inspiration. I realy like the high chute tail. Like you said makes the cage look lower. Again , nice job man.

    any updates on the car?

  18. I'm watching this one close, you're doing an awesome job of it.
BTW, since you're not using the coupe body in the corner, I would gladly take it off your hands, you know, so you'll have a little more room to work.

No I didn't get the dragster done this year, really haven't worked on it much at all lately. I did decide to go with stack injection instead of carburators so that setup cut into my budget. I did get my trailer built for it this summer and about a month ago I bought a new tow vehicle for it.

Diggin' it for sure! Now that you have a trailer and tow vehicle, get back to work. LOL.

Hopefully I will get my tow vehicle in a little better shape over the winter and can obtain some tubing, talk to someone who knows what's up when it comes to the chassis, and get started on mine.

For now I live vicariously through photos on the HAMB and Youtube videos.
