I got up this morning as usual to meet the gang for breakfast at Tommy's in Hampton, VA. It was 33 degrees out. Went to the garage and fired up the coupe and then went to move my wife's Mustang out of the way so I could get down the road. The Mustang had hard frost all over it so I decided to leave the coupe in the garage and take the Mustang. (I'm a candy-*** and like a defroster and traction-control on days like this). Meanwhile Jim Ellis is firing up his Model A sedan with the intention of unveiling his project to all of us after breakfast. Not only did he drive it but it has no windows, no windshield, no top, no weather-stripping and of course, no heater. He did however wear a leather flight cap and goggles. Enjoy the pics......
At least its louvered on the back to let the cold air out. It was 15 here this morning, I am a candy *** also. Been sitting by the fire. Jim nice sedan by the way, I hope it eventually gets gl*** to help keep those winter mosquitos off ya.
....Jim Ellis......you are the "man"....Not only its a cool ride(no punk intented) but you also got cold balls....driving that bad*** sedan in cold weather....keep us posted....like to see it when its done....
Jim, great to see the sedan on the road..Colin, I wanted to call you a Candy *** ,but you know I would not want to offend you..HA,HA.....Even my mess made it to breakfast ,Trust me it was not warm...
It is the middle seat of a Dodge mini van. It has an awful high hinge for the back to fold forward, but it is comfortable. The little Isuzu mini sport, it think that is it's name has a narrow back seat that fold forward and the back folds forward as well. It is smaller and has a narrower footprint but that padding is thin. It has that fake body roll bar with a small cloth top over the back seat.
I actually made the maiden voyage on Christmas eve. That was my ChristMas present to myself. It was warmer then, but I found a maJor oil leak I had to fix before the unveiling.
