Are any of them legit? like Kowalke? Does any body use Price guides to determine a cars value? I use price guides all the time for vintage guitars. Some are considered scripture. I understand that a car is only worth what somebody will pay for it, but when I see a rusted out 1950 merc thats buried up to the mirrors in mud and the asking price is 10000 I start to wonder..... Thanks

  2. nope. I only deal with like-minded, informed folks. I have actually refused to sell when I thought the buyer was not equipped to handle the stewardship of the car/engine/etc.

I use personal experience to determine the value of what I sell and buy. I dabble in antiques and collectibles and when I sell im not priced the same as everyone else. I judge the market the time of day the time of year the buyer/seller standing in front of me and how much I believe a realistic value is to me. Not some stupid book written usually for the writer and publisher to make $. I try to price the stuff I sell to sell not to keep and if I buy I buy if I can justify it in my own mind.
