Years ago, on a snow day like today, I taped a bunch of pictures in a poster frame and hung it on the shop wall. People would come into the shop to check out the current project, but would end up starring at the photos on the wall. As years p***ed I made a few more frames. Friends who have seen them a hundred times still stand there and look again and again. They'll say--
    I miss that car.
That's a lot of money on that wall.
How did we have the time and money to get all that done?
    I forgot about that race.
Remember that---- keg party, that cruise, that show, that rod run, that engine, that night, that cop, that girl.
    What year was that?
I cant believe that it has been that long.

Then they'll say I wish I had a picture of that car, that race, or that cruise.
We have flipped so many cars, and bought and sold so many parts, but we seldom took a picture. Dozens of Chevy IIs, Camaros, Mustangs, Impalas, model A's and cabs, have come and gone.
We drug a 33 Ford sedan body out of a ditch one winter night. Its a great story, and we all had a camera cell phone in our pockets, but nobody took a picture.
This life is all about nostalgia. As the years go by I have tried to take more pictures. Not just pics of cars, but of friends.

You never know when one of them will be gone.

As much as I kinda hate to say/admit this, this the same reason why I enjoy having a Facebook. I'm still in school but it's nice to sometimes go back through the pictures my friends have posted and shared from the past few years and be able to enjoy them. The ones I like the most are looking at some our old expeditions getting our trucks stuck in the mud.

Of course, there are times when the double edged sword rears its head and we're reminded of some of the really, really stupid **** we've done...
