The best are Waldens, the cheapest are Howells. Depends on what you want!

  6. I purchased a set of full skins and door bottoms from a guy in Oregon, nice stuff but i'd have to dig deep for his contact info. J...

Is the quality difference worth the price difference? I cant believe with all the demand for these doors someone dont reproduce them.

Walden Speed shop build killer killer door skins and their work is second to none. However it wouldn't hurt to check out guys like Chris at Salt Flats Speed Shop. His work is impeccable and I it's probable that he could do them a bit cheaper to save you some money.

Note: not trying to push customers away from Walden's as their reputation proceeds them and they are amazing but I think Chris' work also amazing and I have talked to him through PM's and I think he's a great dude and one that I would like to give my money to.

I used Howell's and they were ok but the next time I would form my own from a heavier gauge, I believe Howell's is 22 gauge.

Love to be able to make my own but I dont have the right tools and dont know the ones I need exactly.I'll keep chuggin along as I get the time and money and if I can pick up on the tips and tricks from those that know so much more than me, I' m just a true rookie at this but I love it. I really appreciate all the ideas and tips, again thank so much. I will post some pictures of my truck when I figure out how. Mark

With Walden's, you know they'll fit. The stuff from Howell's can be really hit or miss.

I have ran my hands across some hand built Walden panels (not these door panels though), and they are AMAZING! The welds where the new met the old were almost invisible, and will require ZERO filler. I can imagine his door skins would be perfect as well.
