Event Coverage January 29th - Austin, TX - Meatheads/Jester King Brewery Cruise, Brew and Q

January 29th. A salute to craftsmen. Be it BBQ, beer or old rods and customs. Join the Meatheads and the Jester King Brewery for a day full of the finer things. Meet at the Salt Lick in Driftwood at 11am sharp. Stuff your gullets with all you can eat meat but save room for the other gift from above, cold beer. From Salt Lick we'll cruise on down the road a spell to the grand opening celebration of the Jester King Brewery in Oak Hill featuring their killer brews, music and more food if your dumpling-pot can handle it!

For you knuckleheads that only want to attend the brewery celebration, head out west of Austin on 290. Turn right on Fitzhugh road just after the Y in Oak Hill. Go down a ways and look to the left for a sign that says Ceres Park. Find the party. Visit www.jesterkingbrewery.com for info.

I've recently tried a couple of the jester king brews at a brewfest. Really good stuff! Both the dark mild & rye IPA were excellent!!

Anybody in the North Austin, Roundrock, P-Ville G-town area interested in caravaning down to the salt lick?

 

What's the cost? I don't need much of an excuse to bundle up for a ride in the roadster. Sounds like fun....

fwiw - the sauce (with just a hint of cumin) at the Saltlick is the best there versus from the bottle... I think it has to do with the mingling of the fresh grease. Mmmmm mmmm mmmmm!
