    1. about how many pounds would this be with out the motor?

    2. how would I go about getting a title. If I was to use a fiberglass body, home made frame, and buick 215 motor? (illinois)


    if you have more pics of that car plz post them.
    manly looking for a shot of the rear suspension.

    I'm going to guess 800-1000 pounds without engine. Can't help you with Illinois title stuff.

    Hey, that's my car. Weight with motor and driver (I'm a huge 145 lbs.) is round 1600. Bought a not stolen title at a swap meet, went through the secratary of state and made it legal. It's titled as a '23 Whippet.
    Not a whole lotta power but it hauls ass with no weight!

    Most all my pics are on my home computer. I'll Email 'em to ya when I get home tonite. It's really basic with '36 banjo, tranverse leaf, and split bones connected to the frame with tie rod ends. Th e front is a '36 axle w/ split bones and a leftover spring mounted behind the axle.
