I've been into Hotrods, And classics, Since the early 70's. Having an older brother, 9 yrs older than me, Had its advantages. He was the best gearhead in the area. So our driveway was filled with various cars, And trucks on any given day. By the time I was 10yrs old, I build my first SBC engine. When I was 16, I bought a 75 Camaro, And built a de-stroked 400 for it. At 19, I did my first restoration, 69 Firebird, 400 with a th400 and posi rearend. Oh I miss it. Then I went into the Marines, Got married, Had kids, Got divorced, Single parent. While my kids were growing up, I rebuild a few VW's. Money was a little tight. Now my kids are grown, And I can build what I want to. Currently working on a 68 chevy stepside. I ran accrossed this site, While searching for some plans for an engine dolley. Since then, I have been going threw page after page on this site. So much info. Below, Is the truck I'm working on. Sandblasted the frame, And on the way back up. Currently rebuilding the tranny for it. If I can answer any question, I'd be glad to. Spike
Hi from canyon country ca. I've been a board member for a while and not sure if i've properly introduced myself. My brothers and i have always had an interest in older cars and ifound this site maybe two years ago. It's refreshing to see how helpful car guys can be. I know a thing or two about cars but the knowledge found here is outstanding, as others' knowledge has come in handy to me i hope that some of the few things i know will help others too. Here is a pic of my current vehicle, hope you like it
