Specifically. . . I need to find somewhere to buy multi-pin plugs. . . hopefully with 16 to 20 terminals . . . so I can set up all of my dash and cab wiring to unplug as a unit.

Some people use GM column plugs? But how many terminals do those have? And where can you buy them online?

  2. Do a search on the web for Waytech. I asked this a while back, search here also, it turned into a great post. GM Weatherpack was in the title.

you can also try radio shack...as they sell the common molex style connectors. Usually used for computers but also the same type you see on some strobelight systems.I just wired a towtruck dash with them and they worked fine.I think you can get them upo to like 18 pins or something.

Aircraft Cannon plugs are the best. As many or as few pins as you need, quick disconnect, various amperage ratings, weather resistant. Aircraft circuit breakers work great on cars also (they just reset like your house CB's only they're much smaller). An E-Bay search should find what you need, or check your local airport maintenance outfit for info on suppliers. :)
