Question for 54 Ford guys?

    I recieved my new drag links from Dennis Carpenter and am now finishing up my steering,,,,,I took everthing apart a few months ago,,,,,the problem is I don't remember if the bolt on steering arms(the part that bolts on the backing plate) turns up or down,,,,,,,

    I've got them mounted down,,but if that is correct they look real low :eek: ,,,HRP

    check the direction of the taper in the steering arm off of the spindle, you gotta match it, I really don't think it would go in that far if you had it backwards, my 54 was an F350 but it went the same as what you've got

    The Ford Shop Manual for that year shows it the way it is in your picture.

    they be on da right way there...

    here's a pic of the ones on my Tudor just to set ya mind at ease..fresh from da garage, and baby,,, its COLD out there... :D
