I was going to make a thread like this because we have a party of 6 coming from Wyoming, 5 of which are club members. Maybe we should meet up with you alter boys.
Speaking of... whens the HAMB meet and greet?

Don't forget to visit the Petersen Museum, too!
Pete, when I get a chance, I'll send you a PM with a few other ideas.

...and make sure you stick around Monday night for some Steel Panther at the House of Blues!

Is the Peterson open on Sunday? Johnny Sparkle and I found out the hard way that it was closed on Mondays.

What about visiting the Kennedy Bros. "Bomb Factory"? It's in Pomona close to So-CAl Speed.

  9. If any HAMBers want to visit Thursday evening, I will supply the pizza. let's say 7-10pm. Any thoughts?

ANY Hambers? Even some small-town Canuck and his wife? Sounds good.

  30. OK guys - here's a challenge!

Here's what Sue and I did in 2009, the last GNRS we attended (in reverse order):

    13 + 14 + 9 + 8 + 5 + 2 = 51

    Sunday:

    1. Drove a dozen miles up into San Gabriel Valley to see the dams,
reservoirs (some almost empty) and off roaders.
    2. A stop at the San Dimas s**** book store for Sue:) and then back to
the GNRS to see the AMBR winner crowned

    Saturday:

    1. Donut Delelicts - rainy not very many cars this year
    2. Anit-Donut Breakfast
    3. Jack's Garage
    4. GNRS!!!!
    5. Bobby Walden's party!!

    Friday:

off at 7:30 heading northwest to Sylmar, and the Nethercutt Museum

1 Stopped by H & H Flatheads on the way and met up with Mike to get a
tour of their flathead graveyard and machining/***embly areas.
2 Tour of the Nethercutt Collection and then self guided tour of the auto
museum. Absolutely everything Joe Mayall said it was. Tons of Duesy's,
Packards, Rolls, a 5000 pipe organ, hundreds of hood ornament mascots and
even a few hot rods including the famous McGee roadster. Bumped into Mark
from the Austin Donut Gang and Mark Conforth from Jersie.
3 Went out to Simi Valley and visited with Joe, Dean and Paul at the
    StreetScene offices.
4 California Car Cover - Lots of stuff in a large show room. (Steve
wasn't there - he was at Turlock.)
5 Old Crow Speed Shop - talked to Bobby and Lucky about plaques and
buckles - they've got the belly tank supply cornered. Lucky is going to do
    some speed equipment items
6 Hollywood Hot Rods - Troy and the boys are very friendly and doing
    great fabrication work.
    7 Barris Kustoms
8 Media preview Open House at the Wally Parks NHRA Museum met too many
    folks to remember!!!!

    Thursday:

We got a late start today and only went to 9 places before returning to our
hotel (which has a cook to order breakfast (great Western omelet) and a free
    bar for two hours.)

    1 S & B Filters
2 Lakeman Ch***is (it's everything Billy said it would be)
    3 Thompson Eng.
4 Bill Snodgras (Fat Boys lakester)
    5 Lenard's Custom Fabrication
    6 Gary Kennedy's
    7 John Force's
    8 Currie rear ends
9 Westminster's Upholstery open house w/Minn. tour group and California
    Roadsters

    Wednesday:

Breakfast at Norms (60 year old local chain like Denny's back east but bigger portions
    for less - yummy)

1 Tim Holt Quality Machine Service - amazing 74 year old who's been there
and is still doing it. Make quick changes for streamliners and lots of other
CNC stuff. Also has tooling and a dozen "Weiand" Nailhead timing chain
    covers.
2 Full Bore Racing Products - Roy Fjastad (Sr.) founder of Deuce Factory
3 Art and Mike Chrisman - Art is a legend, shop is awesome.

    gl*** cases

    dealer

wheels and CNC work for shops in area like Foose and Flat Out Eng
9 Dagel's Speed Shop - Gary is not building complete cars for customers
any more, but, working on Model A Sport Coupe for the famous **** Flint.
10 MPC Nova Parts. Chevy Nova parts. Mega buck Anglia in back room. Super
guy to talk to who knows about everyone and has really been there and done
    that.
11 American Hot Rod - Duane Mayer - former shop manager at Boyd's. Brand
new 6000 sq foot shop with one car in it - very high end '29 RPU trying to
get ready for GNRS (PS they didn't make it - guess that would have been cut
    out of the show:))

Dinner at Bella Marri's in Anaheim - great Italian food.

12 Flat Out Engineering - Don McNeil - founded SAC. Now doing Vette
suspensions for trucks. Had awesome 37 Benz frame on table.
13 California Ch***is Werks - Another Don McNeil co and future OBT dealer
14 Stan Betz - another legend and tight tie ins to Von Dutch. 80+ and still
mixing paint in the driveway in defiance of CARB regulations. Has probably
mixed more paints for famous CA rods and customs in last 60 years than will
    ever be do***ented!
