Hey Jalopyshots, looks like someone stole the seat off your bicycle :D

  2. Me too. I screw 'em to the inside of my garage door.

  3. i collect a few mostly novety plates i just hangem on the wall and let em collect dust i am looking for some 1950 ohio plates would like to find a matching pair of the small plates they issued (ohio had 3 different style plates in 50) to run on my shoebox

  4. I have dozens of tags hung up in the garage. The ones from '57 I plan on putting up in my new garage addition. I have mostly vanity tags from VA. Every year I change the tag "number" or buy a different type of plate and hang it up.

I also collect old valve covers and hang them from the rafters.

Being the innovative sumbitch that I am, I nail them on the wall. I need a 32 Louisiana to complete my set 1932 plates from the lower 48 states. I'm too cheap for Alaska and Hawaii.:D

I'd like to do something creative that doesn't destroy the plates. Haven't come up with anything yet though. So most of them hang on the wall.

Not a collector, but I saved these while cleaning out my grandfather's garage. He had personalized plates from 1950 on. Now they're garage decoration.

I gather lic plates just because they are there.. I have YOM's on several of my cars and a collection of CA plates from '23-41 hanging on the wall in my garage. I also have multiple plates from every one of the eleven Western States. The older Montana plates say "Prison Made" on the face.
I don't care for most late model plates, '75 or later unless they have unusual numbering.
I have a very nice pair of 1936 Utah plates, silver w/black letters... They were in my uncles garage in Ogden, I have had them for over 50 yrs.... anybody interested?

    Not quite............................

    1942-1947; 1950; 1953-'56; 1964 & 1965 were all single-year plates in NYS.

I'll look and see if I have an extra '47 for you.

I've got most Michigan plates from the early 40's to present. I never actually "collected" them just seem to pick 'em up now and again.

I have 1940 though 1991 Illinois plates, all with the same number, as a border in the family room. I bought them at an auction in '91 with 3 months still active on the '91 plates. I paid $40 and out bid a family member of the estate.

Collect old lic. plates & dealership frames, mainly Washington, Oregon & California. Look good on the walls of the shop. Any one have a passenger plate from Clark Co. (state of Washington) from the late '50's-early '60's?? PM please

I've been slowly collecting Manitoba plates for my garage wall. Oldest so far is 1917.
