Is this always a flag start event?

I never had much opportunity to leave middle Tennessee much farther than Fla. or Ill./Indiana for a race, but always dreamed of going to the west coast.
To actually see real fuelers again (or an Allison roaring) would probably be more than I could handle at this stage in life.

I have not had much opportunity to even think about this stuff in so many years........... simply unreal. I really wish I could see those cars run.

Yep, originally we did it for no other reason than simplicity, but everybody is Diggin' it and our "Offical Starter" RJ is now quite a celebrity:D We don't run any Fuelers but I've been trying to get the Arfons Dragster to make an appearence, we'll see. Tom, you make the trip and I'll buy your tickets;) Rocky

Gary Reinero will be our Guest of Honor at this years Fresno Dragways Reunion II and will have his Willys and Austin on Display. Gary's Willys was recently in Hot Rod Magazine and his AA/Supercharged Austin's Race Car body was "Pulled" off a mold made from his original Austin Race Car known as "The Bible". Gary started racing in the 60's and is known as someone who never gets rid of anything so who knows what else could be in his trailer for us to get a look at. Stop by and say hi to Gary and check out his s**** book, quite a history right in our own backyard. Rocky

This year Mini Bikes with electric start are welcomed and we lowered the entry to $20 after paying an admission fee of $15. The new rules have not been posted yet but they will reflect the change soon, just be sure to bring and wear full length pants, gloves, shoes, leather, denim or vinyl jacket and a helmet. We offer a Cl*** Favorite award but may add a King of The Hill award if you guys are interested. 114 DAYS[IMG] Rocky

Thanks Chris, enthusiasm like yours is why we do it!
I contacted the Apricot Inn / Best Western at I-5 & Panoche Rd and got us a group rate. Unfortunately the rooms went up and they're having a wedding party the same weekend so rooms are limited. The rates are now $75 Queen, $80 King or 2 Queens, no matter the number of occupants, The phone # is 559 659 1444.

A quick post to show an old photo of Gary's Austin as it was, the event art will be of how the Austin was in this picture and will make a "Super" addition to the Bell Air Motorsports Eagle Field Series of Collectibles.

This years event will include an Auto Swap Meet and "Car Corral" to sell vehicles. Many people have suggested it and we're gonna give it a try, adding more entertainment to the event, more details to follow!
Pre-registration is now available at http://www.eaglefield.net/?page_id=166 allowing payment by credit card or a form will be posted on eaglefielddrags.com soon and we can do it the old fashion way via "Snail Mail":D
Speaking of eaglefielddrags.com, at the moment we are experiencing a problem with lost files and the site is not up right now, looking to have it up this week so stay tuned.
This years event has me real excited and is looking to be our best event yet, I have some new cars Pre-registered that haven't been to Eagle Field, Gary Reinero will have plenty to look at his pit, Stormy Byrd is really pumped and ready to take on his old friends the Gruzen's for bragging rights of their match race, MORE HAMB & C/Gas Dragsters, more Mini Bikes, MORE Cars you won't see race anywhere else, the Swap Meet, BLEACHERS are arranged, hopefully my Twin will be ready, Bell Air Motorsports is working on the art, the Shirt Shak is ready to sling some ink, Ruebens Rib Shack, The Corn Dog Hut, Snow Cone and other vendors are lined up and the staff has proven themselves ready to handle the m***es.
If you've been it's gonna be the BEST and if ya haven't ya don't want to miss it! Rocky
