Awesome thread... Mine was a 52 Ford F1. Originally bought as a parts truck for $400.00 and ended up getting it running......put some brakes on it and a fresh coat of rattle can primer. The cool part was that it had a Buick 455 in it...and a big Mopar Posi rear end.....(good reason for the 15x10's out back). It was the Burnout Bandit.....Had a lot of fun in this one....lucky to still be alive.
Most of my high school days were on foot. My first car in high school was a 58 Chevy BelAir but I rolled it and that killed that car off. So then I spent 12 months without a license and no car. Then I somehow managed to get a used 66 Chevelle SS396 with some help from my parents and from saving money from my after school job. But that didn't last very long as I wrecked that car with a head on crash. At least that one wasn't my fault so I didn't loose my license again but it again left me in the unenviable position of being without a car. It seemed to take almost the full summer to get the insurance company to settle the claim so I could get another car. That turned out to be another used Chevelle. This one was a 1967 and it was also a SuperSport 396 but it wasn't anywhere near as nice as the 66 that I crashed.
My 1965 Ford Falcon Futura, 40 over 302 with a crazy radical cam and a C4 auto, junior and senior year 1998-99. Built by me and my Dad from a '65 front and roof and a '64 rear, spliced and the center of the door jamb and the sail panel. Black crushed velvet interior all from scratch by my mom. She even made the dice. Sold the car to a local guy who then let his 16 year old have it and he completely trashed it then rolled it one night being stupid. I still have the dice though, if you try real hard you can see them in this picture in my '59 F100. Hope this pic don't ruffle any feathers. I ***ure you she's not naked.
mine was a 1970 chevy blazer with 44 monster mudders 12inches of lift no power steering no power breaks , you had to fight to stay alive and keep it on the road ,,, but it looked cool
in 11'th grade i sold a 1969 dart ******* / 340 4 spd to buy a kick *** 1968 barracuda formula S , 340 4 spd w/and 8 3/4 rear and 4:30 gears .the owner before me was a good friend of my older brother . he had got caught street racing and had a **** load of fines to pay and i got it cheap . should have never parted with that one , that thing ran like scalded dog . got banned from driving to school for 3 months , after i unhooked the pipes and went into the lower parking lot at vo-tech and spun dry doughnuts till the "rat patrol" came through the smoke and busted me . but i found a really cool guy who lived about a block from the school (he had 2 amc cars at the house , 1 rebel and a machine) and i waited for him to get home from work 1 afternoon and told him the situation , he laughed like hell and said , "sure , you can park that piece here and walk to school" never did tell mom about that till i was about 35 years old , oh the memories . i know these are not hamb friendly rides but back in the mid seveties these were really cool rides .
haha that Bus was cool! I woulda hot boxed the hell outta that ****koli special My buddy used to pick me up everyday for school in his 62 bug - that thing was a blast! then i got a 72 dart and I was the pimp!

This is back in 83-84-85. It's a real SS with a 396, 4:11 gears and a B&M fully manual reversed valve body turbo 400. Still have it, but it needs a load of work.
a 1965 Ford Galaxy Notchback with option chrome... 464 Big block with blower... Primered and the seats had been upholstered about 7 times layered lmao. Loved that car but p***ed everything but the gas station.
My main ride in HS was a 1970 Plymouth GTX 440 6bbl with a 4 speed. I then got my 1930 Model A that i restored as a shop project. The GTX is long gone and the Model A is being turned into a 1960's styled hot rod. I graduated in 1974 and boy do i miss the simple uncomplicated days of HS. Scott
This was my good friend, "Worm" and his ride in high school. The best thing is that he is still my good friend, and he still has the car.
Started with a 1946 Dodge 4 door, moved up to a '56 Chevy Convert. Black on Black with a bored 283, 2 fours and a three speed on the floor. Also had a 40 Ford P/U for the lake and drive in movie!!!
