Going to Pheonix soon, any places to check out?

    Ill be in Pheonix for a little bit soon, anyone know of any cool car places to check out in the surrounding area?
     
  2. 2 hours north.. gold king mine and ghost town more vintage trucks / machinery than you can shake a stick at. Its in jerome az. jerome is cool too.. worth spending half a day or a day.

  4. Any Sat. night the place for a car guy to be is the Pavilion. Not sure how to get there, just ask around.
    Over 200 cars the last time I was there in 2008.

    there is a decent car show every sat at the shopping center at 83rd ave and lake pleasant pkwy in peoria. cant go wrong with desert valley auto parts either.
     
  9. Neet little drag strip just north of Surprise in Whittman. Was seen on T.V shows like Pass Time and Bull Run, if I remember correctly.

    If you're up for old and exotic, there's the Scottsdale Auto Museum. I can't find a web page for it, but here is an article talking about it: link

    I got a private tour of it a few years ago before it opened; there's some pictures in one of my photo albums if you'd like to see some what they have. I don't know how 'open' the museum is, it may require reservations.

    EDIT: nevermind, just talked to my relative who works for the owners....still not open to the public.

    Thank you all, I think I'll stop by Indrustrial Chassis, and it sounds like the cruise on saturday night before the auctions start may be pretty big so I'll def stop by there!

    TT Roadhouse in Scottsdale. Not a car spot, but a good drinking hole. They have a good punk rock jukebox.

    Saturday night at the pavillions is Barrett Jackson night. should be packed. 101 and Indian bend.

    I was in Phoenix last Feb., just keep an eye out for all the old cars crusin' the roads.They use them for daily drivers like the ones we hoard back east.

    Okay, first thing you guys should have told me was the amazing junk yards you guys have! While we have em in Ca sure...but the ones in Az?! I even found one full of nothing but old Cadillacs!
