    Danger! Danger!

    ?????????????????????????????????????????

The trip to the Autorama was crazy....... I can't even describe it.
I really don't know what the **** just happened.............

LITTLEMAN IS A RULER!!!! The best part of the weekend was metting him and adopting him into our gang.... His truck is bad ***. I think this is the begining of a long line of trouble we will get in together........

    Moriarity is god..... enough said.

Brush is a cool ****ing Canadian.

All the Emporor crew.... Drew, Randy, Heath, Plowboy, yngrodder etc...... its always cool to see everyone. I've met alot of people in the last few years and even though you guys are a little "Homoriffic" hahaha, you guys have become true friends.....

I'm looking forward to the "Section a Shoebox in 3 days" MFS "**** OFF" It will be Awsome..... I will work with my favorite builders... Tuck and Drew.
It will be fun for sure..... prepare yourself.

The Detroit Draggins kick ***...... MR G***er is the coolest.

The whole thing was Fantastic, meeting everyone was cool. It was overwelming at times. I'm kinda shy. I'm always supprised when people know who I am

So many emotions, freinds, storys.......... Inspirtation.

I think it all comes down to Inspiration.

For me, this trip was like going to school. I learned alot about myself....... More than I bargained for even.

Seeing the cars was cool, but nothing was better than listening to the storys.

We rubbed shoulders with the RULERS.......... The origional rulers.

Bill Whetstone told us stories about the Adonis....... How young he was when he built it, how he bought a brand new car and had the Alexander Brothers cut it up........ He would have them work on it a little at a time as he could afford it. He told us about going to Mexico for the interior, how he tipped each worker, to be insured to get the good thread, and real padding instead of horse manure. It was awsome. He also told us that the Alexander Brothers painted it on a dirt floor.... and that snow would fly in the cracks of the doors at their shop....

He said he had to borrow money to finish the car.. His dad thought he was crazy for ruining a new car, but he was able to pay off the loan quickly because the Adonis became a feature car on the show circut.

Then he told us about when he sold it, and the last time he saw it, the last time anyone saw it..............

It was pricless, it really was. Scarliner is a lucky kid to have him as a Grandfather.

I spent time talking with Larry Alexander about Candy Paint. He and his Brother would each take a side and just start painting..... He also said George Barris never figured out how they could paint in those rough Detrot conditions..... I was completly in awe.

Those who went to the show to look at rat rods.... missed the boat. The magic was in the storys. It really was.

For me it all started a week ago, I pulled my roadster into the garage to clean it up and realised I should paint it...... I had been thinking of painting it, but ran out of time..... anyway I pulled an allnighter and painted it anyway..
I liked it alot until Evel and JonnyCola were helping me put it back together and Evel said it looked army green. That ****er, I think I have to repaint again now.....

Anyway this is early Thursday Morning, right before we left..... this was the cleanest my roadster has been since I first finished it..

We finally got to the show and started to load everything in.... I was running around trying to get things organised and came back to find Barnett with the show card he made me.

IT IS AWSOME!!!!! I still can't believe how cool it is. Thanks so much man.

Then we started to set up the display and as I learned from the Cheaters, I wanted to bring the Autorama down to Our level... hahaha so we had some creative wig placement.

The display was really neat, we used all the Knuckel Drager props.
We thought all was good until we saw some dude in a blue coat carrying the maniquins wig around..... I was like OOPS... I followed him to the show office and asked for my wig back......

He said "Are you Bob Bleed?"

I was like yeah, can I have my wig back?

He said "Detroit is a Civilized place, I would like you to put some pants on that Mainiquin, but we just can't have any Muff."

I started laughing and apologized...... I can't believe that guy said Muff. hahahaha

That "muff" looks like something from the 70's ****.

Walking around the show was crazy........ Me and Tuck noticed that alot of booths had spokesmodels...... We figured we could get one of them to score with Jonny Cola.... so we were on a mission.

Jonny got some action..... hahahaha it was funny. We started by pulling random girls to pose with him by the roadster...... Then he graduated to the models..

As usual, Bob is dead on. It was great to meet 'Evel' and 'Tuck'. I didn't get to meet a lot of the "bigs", but i did get to bend Fay Butler's ear for a while. He said i asked good questions! Plowboy was hammered and was looking at Fay's wad the whole time we were talking. I just tried to act casual. hahahaaaaa. Matt and Mel have intestinal issues. Still looking for the HAMB auction, Bob.

After making the rounds we were like How come we don't have models?

    So we got some. hahahahahahaha

We talked our waittress at the Hard Rock Cafe into being our spokesmodel.....

We were just screwing around, I diddn't really think she would come,........ but she brought a friend............

    Holy ****.

I thought the whole thing was a great idea until they actually showed up. Then I was a little uncomfortable, somethings are better in theory. I felt like an ***, so I called Laura. I still feel like an ***.

The whole thing was wierd, but we made the best of it.

We named them the Danger twins.

They were heart broken, when they heard the news hahahahaha

    ash tray heart...

I left my charger in the back of johnny colas truck... story of my life.

I was going to post pics but ****... dead battery.

I worked like mad to make the autorama with the HEX just to get schooled by JIMMY SHINE... The Hex is in bare metal with brand new shoes, interior and well... was left home with ****ed up trailer lights and fried fuses. It looks like its ready for a photo shoot- but its now getting dressed for the Roundup.

I left Pine City in a honda... I had mi**ed feelings... I was so wound up I actually threw up. WTF?

I was ******* down the road talking to bleed explaining everything that went wrong, how I had to use Sissor jacks to get the hex on the trailer it was so low... how I had to buy water softer salt to thaw out the slider door... all to be hexed in the end...

when all of the sudden a trooper flies up on my ***- im like bob, I think im getting pulled over hahahaha CHERRYS in my rear view.

hes like... know why im pulling you over?? haha "expired tabs?"
    nope...
    SPEEDING 20 OVER
    No tail light
    haha.

    Where you headed???
    DETROIT.
    haha
    from Pine City to Detroit...

he gave me a warning??? WHY?
because I was HONEST with him...
he asked me have any idea how fast you were going?
I said in my best OCC impersonation... "to be honest with you, I was talking on my phone and not paying attention"

    That was the turning point.

I was pretty bummed showing up at bleeds but the moment I hopped into the truck to go with things changed...

I was in a fog from the thrash I was on.... and dozzed off most of the trip to Detroit... but then things got wierd

From the point that bleed fired the roadster and we set up the display my depression ENDED.

Barnett made this sign for my car... COOL AS HELL and he almost kicked my *** cuzz he worked on it till six AM and my car was a NO SHOW... haha. Thanks Dan, ill post a pic when I get my cam charger back.

Dan and his crew are REAL ****ING BEATNIKS... holy ****. They all RULE.

It was danger danger from then on out....

as bleed mentioned above it was great to meet all those awesome hambers and to "hang" with the legends...

Even the ARTISTs, like BRUSH a kick *** guy hooked me up with a kanadian gift... ill post pics when I can.

I even talked to weesners dad for about 45 min... listening to him and moriarity tell more stories... DAMN.

I met LITTLEMAN, he was magnetic... instantly friends for LIFE. (his truck ruled all)

Moriarity is my adopted 'father'... he likes it or not.
    John Schliker KICKS *** period.

I cant get enough of the storys... Larry Alexander told me stories from when he was in the service and how his hands were frostbit, he still gets money from the military for it each month.

he also told me about how they painted... in a shop with a dirt floor, ... hes like yeah... we just made sure the floor was wet down real good.... That made it REAL for me. I started out with a DIRT FLOOR. wow.

Scarliner rules... his grandmpa told us stories for over an hour straight... obviously scarliner can put together a bad *** custom.

I had a dream I dyed my hair blue... I think I hung out with hot rods to hell too much 'RULER', him and hot rod drummer from 'I-own-A" honda.... haha.

We stood around Drew's roadster and johnny cola told everyone that he bought it on ebay, and that MR. T used to own it... hahahaha that kid rules!

Mr. G***ers personality runs on nitro... and the draggins rule- TONENAAY-

It was cool to meet everyone.

I will be there next year with my roadster... and as a good promoter... I already lined up the Danger Twins to be our models... haha.

I think Detroit is closer to Kanada than I am.
I was inspired by that bombed out city... it gave me the chills.

..................it was great to finally meet you guys. I can see now why we didn't see much of you upstairs.
I would have loved to have spent more time down there, but the Pinstriper's Jamboree was the main reason I was there AND they were the ones that got me in the door. We managed to raise just over $20,000 for the Rainbow Connection which is a part of Make-A-Wish which grants wishes to terminally ill kids. Josh Shaw, Barnett and his "possee" all cranked out some FANTASTIC art which helped make that happen..........
Can't wait for next year..................oh yea........THANK YOU for not burning any of the tuner cars!

    Michigan Gayness is CONTAGIOUS!!!!

(And this past weekend PROVED it!!:D )

Glad y'all got to visit the toxic, frozen ****hole we call Detroit...and travel upon the crater-ridden Highways of Doom!

(Too bad our Governor isn't as close to Canada as Tuck is! )

Way cool to meet Tuck, the BM-Xpert in person...he has that "I'll kill you in your sleep with a blunt shoe" way about him that makes him a Natural Born Ruler in the Murder City!

    (Just kidding...he's really a mushroom!)

Evel is the Muff Sticker Master, no doubt! (But I've already covered that!)

Bleed is like a rocked up Garfield...not at all the ******* Tarzan I had pictured...wish we'd have hung out longer!

LittleMan did have a bodaciously cool rig...we talked of motors and Isky cams...the man is a Visionary!

How'd I miss all them Bleed Babes? I only saw the little dark hottie who nagged Evel about the *******!!!

You guys (and everyone else there) made Detroit a fun place to be again!

    Luv,
    COOTER!

I could fill pages of stories from this weekend...... It was crazy. It really was.

    I'm so inspired its dangerous.

Next year I'm going to have a finished car to show with Tuck....... Only we are going to let Laura and Jolene "hire" the Models...

Anyway, I'm usually not big on awards.... Everytime I start my roadster, and then stand on it...... it's enough of an award.

I was honored to reicieve two picks...

    One from none other than

OL SKOOL RODZ...... Those guys were funny. Tuck told them we were banned from the OSR message board and they thought it was cool.... hahahaha

    SHHHHHHHH.

Those OSR guys are really nice. I have a new outlook on that magazine after meeting those guys.

    It's a cool trophy.

The big honor though, was the Alexander Brothers pick....... I've idolized their cars ever since I was a kid and my uncle gave me all his hot rod magazines from the 50's and 60's.....

In fact my roadster in it's early sixties stages was inspired by the Alexander Bros 69'r.... I had Larry sign the magazine.

It's really amazing, I can't even believe it.

It really was an awsome weekend, I'm trying to find a way for Tuck to move to Milwaukee from Canada..... ACEHOLES INC.

I drove Evel to the airport last night, but we were too late and he missed his flight...... He missed his flight last time he was here as well. OOPS.

Jonny Cola finally got the nerve to ask the girl at the coffee shop out.
Our little boy all grows up.....

    DANGER! DANGER!

haha HACK is the silent type.... silent but deadly! It was cool hangin with you ad DUBBS', I really do want to see a V8 in the HACKKET...

When I grow up I wana be a DRAGGGGIN.

I met that girl at the coffee shop... that girl is cute. Johnnys going to be a KING some day.

Jolenes already got her fishnets picked out... her and laura would make better danger twin managers [tm]

I'm getting everything organized for the push and next years deadline... I have so many ideas its crazy... scratching them out on paper and dreaming non stop since I left cobo.

That cars build is personal to me...

The first thing to go on my ch***is is my slick kanadian motor mounts with hockey pucks... haha.

Plowboy suggested I use ****** boot heels instead... plowboys have crazy ideas. Maybe ill use the ones with gold fish in them.

I wont sleep for a week now.

    I will be back HACK.
save a spot on the couch.
    I'm in love with DETROIT.

party of special things to do? I enjoy the stories, bobbleed please write them down and post more of them sometime. I think the roadster looks good in that color, it's like a clear-green tint over bare metal, it's sweet looking, different. The two danger twins, I swear I think i've seen that blond on a "picture" website. Looks like a great show, thanks for putting up pics...

****, i missed everybody. didn't even see any of the legends around (cool as HELL to see so much of his work, the 59 elk killed. loved it) only met a fraction of the HAMBers... still a damned good time, nonetheless. lotsa great pictures and a nice roadtrip up with some good friends. we need fresh "gang colors" to better recognize people though, or somethin.

maybe we could cut off a pinky, that way, when you shake hands with one, you'll know. (may not apply to heavily tattooed asians)

  27. Man, that was FUN! I'm glad you guys got to see why I dig Detroit so much! My biggest regret is that I didn't take more pics. Here's a few, though...

    1.) Cool kids.

2.) The big concrete structure, overhead, is the commuter train that runs THROUGH AutoRama!!! Too cool.

  28. 1.)The DEADBEATS' Jerry W. showed off his recently g***er-fied-Poncho powered '40! A few of us lettered/striped/painted it before/during AutoRama.
    2.)Side view
    3.) "Skalper" detail.

****, losing pinkies runs in my family. an uncle lost one as a kid when he stuck it in a hole in a machine that his dad had just told him to keep his fingers out of and my dad lost one in a woodworking incident. and i was just thinking more shirts would be nice... oh well, i'll fire up the miter saw...
