1950 pontiac suspension Question

Hello All,
I have a 1950 Pontiac Cheiftain 4 door i lowered the rear with 4 in blocks i want to cut the coils i have them out . How much should i cut off ? As much of a ***** it was getting the coils out i would like to know were abouts i should cut them ? Thanks for the help...Migg

 

i would like to know to i got the same car well allmost mine is a 51 4 door what size tires do you have on yours and how low is the back with 4inch blocks ?

 

This 49 has 3” blocks in rear and 1 1/2 cut coils in front.

 

Mine has 3 inch blocks and pulled out all but 2 leaves in the back, took a coil and a half out of the front. Lays on shortened snubbers in the back and sits a little bit higher than that in the front.
