My name is bill. Im in rochester,ny. I have visited the site many times over the past few years. I love the tech info! I've got a few freinds that have been members for years. I dont know why i waited so long to sign up. I got my first car in 1985 when i was 14. It was a 56 metropalitan with a blown motor. My dad and i put in a chevette motor and trans in it.(becouse it was free!) I sold that to get a 69 impala.(I think i was getting closterfobic). The metro prob would have fit in the trunk. lol Ever since then i have been building,buying,selling,or distroying cars. lol I'm looking forward to being a member. I'll prob have more questions than answers, but hopefully i will have something useful to contribute. Right now im working on a tribute car for my dad. He had a 64 impala drag car back in 71. He sold it to get married. He loves drag racing and hopefully I can get him in it to make a few p***es. Im hoping to have it done this summer. I'll post some pics. Im also working on a 55 chevy g***er (street/strip) with a gl*** flip front clip. The motor is set back 10in. and a 57 truck front axle.
HEY! Welcome to the riff raff. about time you joined up, now i can stop telling you about all the posts i find interesting. lol HAMBer's, i've known Bill for a LONG time so to say he's more of a brother than a friend is an understatement. he's got a lot of knowledge and i'm sure will be willing to help us out, plus some really slick projects in the works i know will be to everyone's liking. I would like to thank everyone for the warm welcome! Thats why this board is the best!! The metropolitan I had was blown up. Like-- someome tryed to drive over the crankshaft. By the looks of the lower end it must of sounded like a hair dryer when it let loose. Thanks again.
