Amateur fleetline chop began today! A few pics added at the bottom

  1. When I started looking at this thread the first thing I thought was that thing needs dropping and please lose the wheels. I was very happy to read that was your plans. Subscribed. I love a good chop and am waiting to see this one finished.

    Great work, beautiful chop. '50 Buick grille is my all-time favorite. How/where did you get the grille?

    Actually found a complete 50 buick at pullapart in birmingham al when we were visiting my wife's grandmother. It was right down the street so I snuck away:). I saw it and said that would great on my fleetline! $25 and is was mine.

    Having owned a 50 Buick I have always loved that "waterfall" grill. Looks good in the Chevy. Nice job all around.

    did a lot of grinding and sanding today....almost have the entire car bare metal. Just have to finish the roof tomorrow and get started on grafting in the tail lights

    Been following your progress on the fleetline. These cars are hard to chop and have them look right. I think you're doing a fine job so far. Keep posting pictures.

    Snow in Georgia????? Is that what I see in picture #3 ???

    yup...my driveway actually still has snow on it a week later....usually snow in georgia melts before lunch:)
