Fellas I got a Factory split exhaust manifold headed my way. When it arrives I'll be installing it and then heading down to the Exhaust Pro's. What kind of mufflers have you all ran with this setup and what did you think could have been better or worse? Currently considering gl***packs and flowmasters. I will be dropping a full build in place of the stock 235 in it now which is also a factor. Thanks!
what kinda sound are you looking for? shoulda answered that first, lotsa mufflers, lotsa sounds, have used them all, some won`t use again, some i will use til cant get em anymore or whatever......gotta say i like smitty`s gl***packs on that one......
If you want a sweet sound go with Porterbuilts and be done with it. If you just want loud and obnoxious it doesn't matter much what you use. To me there is nothing sweeter than a little 235 Chevy six with duals and a pair of nice gl*** packs with tail pipes clear out the back that have just a motorboat burble at an Idle but a nice rap when you run through the gears and their own signature song when they cruise down the highway at highway speeds. I used to be able to tell which of my freinds or other local guys were going by the house by the sound of their pipes.
