Couldn't find anything in search function, so need some help....
I just installed a SBC into my '63 Biscayne that had a 6 cylinder in it.
Made all the adaptions (clutch, mounts etc) ahead of time, but didn't think about the throttle likage difference.
So........Is there an easy way to make this conversion, or is it best to just to to a junkyard and find it ??
Thanks in advance for any help...
    Cheers,
    Bob

best to find one in a junkyard or such. Makes it a lot easier. I think all you need is the arm on the engine side of the firewall, it clamps to the pedal part of the linkage. Or you could cut the arm off at the clamp part, and weld on a new arm, longer, that goes up.

Thanks Gents.....this is a great forum...
    Squirrel,
I appears that the pivit fastened to the firewall is the same, so I would really only need the correct V8 upright lever to get the correct direction (unlike the 6 cylinder lever that went down)
I could then make my own linkage if need be...
    Correct ??

A quick look in the parts book showed that the inner rod is the same for all engines. 61-63 are the same.

I cut and welded my 6 cyl arm to make it work with a V8 in my 66 Chevelle.
