Thanks ahead of time. Im having trouble searching the net I believe mostly because of terminology. Whats the part in the middle called? compression seal? flange? spacer? seal? I have a leak here, and welded the 'doughnut' back together, but am thinking I will need to buy a new one as well as the piece of pipe after it with the flange bend in the end... Is there a special name for that as well?? Sorry for the crudeness.

Pretty much it. Doughnut gasket or flange gasket if it's flat. That is proper muffler shop terminology.

Take the old one to a good muffler shop and ask for a new donut like it.
