Stupid Sh!t I saw in Detroit....LOTS of pics!!

I know everyone else already put all their pics up but I can't let mine go to waste. I was stoked to meet Bobbleed, Tuck.....****, like 30 HAMBers, even though I missed all of the HAMB meetings.

I don't pay attention to time on vacation! Plus I was hungover Saturday and Sunday morning.

I was also stoked to see my Detroit homeboys -The Poor Boys. These guys are so ****ing cool and down to earth. Lots of beer and shooting the **** -ZERO AT***UDE!

The Cinci crew had an incredible display of cars and cool vintage ****.

I also got to meet a bunch of the Deadbeats. Nice guys, but where was Roadstar?

The upstairs was pretty much what I expected but even bigger. I still can't believe that that roadster pickup didn't win. It couldn't compete because it wasn't its first show. The guy had it at the GNRS. That's ********! That thing was killer for a bucks-up car.

You know who rules too.....Chris Shelton! I got to hang out with him briefly again. I see him at most Goodguys shows and think he's cooler each time.

I wish I'd gone to the Magic Stick to hang out with everyone and especially to see Meg White. I think she's hot! But I had a killer and more mellow time at the Tap Room and got LOADED!

I also got to hand out flyers for Billetproof, MI and meet with all the guys who do all the hard work to make it go.

Well, D-town, I'll see you in 87 days!

Tim King forgot the key to his trunk -WHERE THE BEER WAS! Him and Roger spent like 30 minutes trying to climb through the back seat to get it open. No luck, so Roger just started handing beers out from the coolers in the trunk.

Those are actually his functioning gas tanks. They're tapped and connected by a hose at their bottoms. They even have breather tubes up top.

Javier's old ride made the scene. The new owner didn't even know the name.


They had a whole collection of old posters. I wanted to snag them and give them a good and loving home.

We saw the owner of the Purple flaked car wearing a matching "pimp suit" on Sunday. It was awesome, just like in the movie "I'm gonna git you ****a". It would have been nice to have a camera.

I was wondering if anyone else dug that RPU from Pinkies.I also wondered why it wasn't a Riddler car.The speedo was like a 51 Ford mounted in a 39 Chevy headlight or something.Thanks for the pix.

More show than go.... isn't that what the flake is for. I saw Angel Dust for sale at Pamona about 1 year ago. I'm guessing that was after you owned it? Or was that you?

That was after me. I sold it early 2003 to a guy who rebuilt the motor and brakes. He bought it for his son to drive around in college...yea right. He bought it, &*^#@ up the paint on pick up day, car sat in a lot in Santa Ana covered with dirt for months; he rebuilt the two and fixed paint, sells car back east. Now dumb pimp owns it.

I had to tell them the motor on the Mirrored Disco Ball
in the Billetproof Corporate Hospitality Suite burned out,
so Kirk had to spend the weekend turning it by hand.

But we had fun anyway.

That's what I thought. The guy was sort of a tool. He *****ed and complained about how the paint had a lot of problems and then he spent 1/2 hour telling me about all the work he did to get the rug down in the trunk.

 

Yea, the paint did have some problems,it was "old" not to mention the car had gone from CA to North Dakota, sat for a few years, back to me back in CA for a year or so and then back east.
