I have 2 of these scoops for my Ford 94's, I need another one as i've decided to go for tri power on my truck, but i can't seem to find another one exactly the same. The one's i see seem to face slightly up rather than at right angles......as per attached pic.....any ideas Guys... or are the pictures i'm looking at deceptive??
The "ONE" I have is more angled. Your 3 options are 1) use 3 mismatched scoops just to be different 2) buy the one I have and sand the rest to match 3) buy 3 new scoops from the same manuf.
Here is a side shot. I am here at my shoppe M-F 8 to 6 and Sat 9 to 6 and since I live not far I can be here anytime by apointment.
Hi, thanks for the reply and the picture, however the inlet appears to point upwards rather than at the right angle that i need. I've taken a better photo to show mine Thanks anyway Julie
you could put the one angled up scoop in the center of the inline three carbs - that could be an option or a temp solution until the correct one is found,so you arent held up from enjoying your ride...
don't worry....it wouldn't hold me up....i'd steal the edmunds off the custom if it was ready to drive!!.....unfortunatley it's not ready yet....but wont be too long .....and indyjps....inside diameter is 2.5"
HEY PINK FLAMINGO, I know a GREAT fiberglass mold and part maker that would be more then happy to make a mold of your best scoop. He could pop you out a few of those scoops. With the new Chrome & and Polished aluminum process being used today, nobody could tell what scoop was glass and what scoop was aluminum! Hey, Its worth a shot if you cant find what your looking for..... He also make a ton of Hot Rod scoops already for us gear-heads. Heres a few pics I took at the Go Fast Fiberglass shop in Pennsylvania few months ago. Good Luck CLIDE
Hey Clide, Thanks for that, seems like a pretty good idea but i've just bought a set of the 3 more common type of scoops and i intend to keep searching for 1 more of the other type in the meantime as i do prefer them! I think it could end up costing me if i did go for the mould as i'm in England and the shipping back and forth could end up expensive! look good though Cheers anyway Julie
Hey PINK, Hows the cruising there in England? The best time to have any molds made by GO FAST is at the end of the summer, the prices and turn around time is best as he says its very slow this time of the year. I'm going to have bumper molds made of my Homemade Nerf Bumperettes Cheers,Reguards,Goodday Vince
