Thanks to my pals at Crushproof the Chevy got a new grille and straighter bumpers this week.
Lux floated a 55 Buick bar in her and it really fits the opening nice.

Doc spent umpteen hours getting the 56 Chevy wagon Bumper to fit MUCH better on the back.

Still allot of work to be done on the bumpers before chrome but I'm out of car money for now anyway do it'll be a while before they need to be super straight.

Also thanks to Outlaw for tracking down that F#*$ing oil leak I could never find.
He also relocated the gas filler in the trunk, dropped it down a couple inches so I can actuly get a nozzle in there.

Fatluckys spent two Sundays helping me put in my cheap-o headliner.
I know it had to be murder for him to work with such cheap stuff!

He even made new wind lace after he saw the quality of the JC Whitney stuff.
I feel bad having the Pic***o of Custom s***ching helping me with my watercolor paint by number. :D
But Sean’s just a great friend, so he's always there to help.
    Thanks Bro.

I only hope some day I can re-pay him for all his help buy dropping off a car and paying him for a full interior.

It's coming together for the Roundup and I couldn’t be happier.

    Take a look:

Right on! Lookin' forward to seein' it in-person in a couple weeks!

This confirms my su****ions that the 56 wagon bumper would look great on a wide-hipped Chevy. Hmmm... makes me think about ditching my 55 Pontiac rear bumper I have been working on and replacing it with one of those...

    Royal Enfield bullet lights.

    Re-pops are $20 or so.
You can find them on e-bay.

    Couple more of the motor.

Tried to make it look like a engine swap from 1957. :)

The cool web latch supports are again by Lux at Crushproof.

    It's crazy aint it!

I can't belive how far it's come in just the time I had it at Flyrite last month, up-till now.

Sorry I missed ya'll last Friday, was going to try to come by but I ended up
    working on my roadster!!!!
It's been so long since I did anything to it, it was nice to fix a few things while the chevy was'nt taking up all the room in the garage.

How are the seven bikes coming?
I'll see you guys on Sunday at Martys hitchin'.

    very nice!

    i love the plauqe holder

  18. Lookin' good Krupa, but can I make a small suggestion?

    Please?

Those bullet lights are pretty neat, but couldn't you mount them in the grille opening somewhere? They'd still be visible I'd imagine, besides... no-one pays attention to those things these days anyway!

I was over there last week and saw how he mounted the floating grille. Lux did a beautiful job on that. Looks great Krupa!

Right on Sean! It looks real good. Is that a 49-50 Merc grille opening or a custom made job?

I agree with ya totally Boris,

The only reason they’re where they’re at is because of existing holes in the splash pan.
The two holes are where the first grille bar mounted. It was a 53 Chevy piece with the bumper guards cut down.
It looked great too, but was in the missing in action file when I rescued the car.

I'm thinking of sticking them up in the grille opening facing backwards, bullet out with a super bright bulb.
If I can figure out how to get a good reflection so they do the job it should look better.

    Thanks,

    Custom.
We did it with tubing and bits and pieces off a bunch of cars.
    And too much Bondo ;)

I get ask for build pics all the time for the frount end.
I wish I had taken more pictures but I did'nt have a digital camera at the time.

I still think you need to name the car " Tamaco ". You've only had the car for a few weeks and your already hooked on it.
