Ok. So I have my subframe now which I picked up out of a 75 camaro. All of the ones ive seen done were done by stacking the original frame on top of the camaro frame. The guy I picked up the subframe from cuts the subframe to length, plates the cut end and then ****s the original frame up to it. he then puts gussets and boxes it in. which is better? His way seems a lil easier and seems to add more clearance.
Depending on how low you want your truck to sit in the front and if you want to also drop the rear. As you say, I have also seen it done three different ways, all worked. What is your preference on stance, that should determine how you do your clip. There is a long posting here on the H.A.M.B. on different ways to do this clip, you might try to search for it. There is a lot of information on that posting.
I want low but functional! Im gonna drop the back down 4". so I would say the front is gonna go 5-6".
In the late 80's there was a magazine article about this . I forget but Rod and custom, HotRod, Street Rodder ?????
