Been lurking around the website for some time and decided to finally post what I have. Its a 1954 GMC 100.. It looks rough but its the patina i was looking for. I paid 1500 for it which sounds outrageous but it already has Heidts superride II from suspension with chrome coilovers and shocks, and chrome 4 piston dynalite wilwood calipers.. Also it currently has a 350 longblock mounted up with a turbo400 but both are untested and there isnt an inch of wiring in this thing.. All of the trim pieces gl*** lights etc are inside the cab so most of it is there he also purchased a shotbed for it in preparation to shorten the frame. Should be a fun project between my 7 year old son and I. Its similar to the 53 chevy truck which was my first vehicle I ever owned that my dad handed down to me..Plans are to leave the patina and scotch brite off the rust colored primer the previous owner sprayed on it. Also already have a 99 5.3 with ls1 intake and nasty cam with a 4l60. Once I get moved into the new house I can install my two post lift and get to work lol..

already have a 98 exploder rear end (actually two for free with discs and 3.73's)..The center diff is slightly offcentered so I plan to use the short tube from both to make one narrowed rear axle with 5 on 4.5 bolt pattern to match the front.. Another budget build..lol will get some more pics tonight..Oh i also found the front bumper (chrome with splash apron and original license plate in the bed under some carpet along with the heater)..
