Met Paul La Mat at a car show in England a few years ago and the couple who own the T bird and still do, Clay and May Daily.
Rolf, Like your take on the music angle, I couldn't agree more. Sequels never seem to be as good as the originals, and after the first AG movie, anything that followed, was going to be a disappointment. Like many others who have commented, I really liked the drag race theme/footage as well. Also, it's kind of neat to have Steve Evans as the track announcer.
I watch AG quite a lot, got the DVD in the garage and pop it in every so often. More AG -not so much. Think I've seen it 2 or 3 times and never got too into it. IMO, it just seemed darker maybe it's the VietNam thing, I don't know. Just have no interest or desire to see it again. But that's me.
All this talk has me wanting to dig up the 2nd one and watch it tonight. Again, I liked it. Stop comparing. The 368 "Rocky" sequels weren't as powerful as the first. But, I enjoyed most of them anyways
I liked the second OK also. I think they were playing with you. Particularly with Milner. Seemed like they would show a scene that could have ended in his final crash a couple of times. Then the crash didn't happen. I thought Toad's scenes were great!
They are movies. Movies are for entertainment. I was entertained by both; one more so than the other, but still entertained.
If you lived there at the time of the shooting the story line fits the time also 2 fits the time line i still watch it accisionaly memory of the shooting is still in my mind
Its actually Le Mat with the space, least thats the way he signs his autograph and is credited on his DVDs and movies so we both can make mistakes. People in glass houses comes to mind.
