I feel goofy having to ask this but Im gettin to the point where its time to start stockin my garage. I plan on havin my car out to work on this summer but I have squat for tools. I got wrenches, hammers, angle grinder and an air compressor thats too small. Workin on gettin a welder, torch, new drill cause mine got jacked. Im trying to think of what else should be in my ****nal for hackin on my first build. Suggestions for toolbox must-haves?

no matter how many tools you, you'll never have the one you need when you need it. even if you own it...you probably won't be able to find it. ha

reciprocating saw, pry bars, vice grips and clamps, level, tape measure, floor jack, jack stands, breaker bar, extension cords, flashlight, work gloves, ear plugs, goggles, face shield. time to hit up harbor freight. you can never have to many tools! good luck with the build!

man I forgot about all that stuff. Ive got a fully stocked garage back in CA but its all my pops tools. Kind of hard to borrow when Im halfway across the country. Its suprising to see how many tools you use when you have to start over from scratch.

That stuff is for sissies. :p Now having said that, I've lost fingernails, I have scars on my hands, I'm hard of hearing and I've had to pull metal out of my eyes more than once.

on second thought....go to the tool store and buy everything you see...chances are, you'll probably need them all at one time or another.

i have a ruptured left eardrum, and have had my eye scrubbed twice... they both hurt like hell. so now i wear these things. i have also been in a truck that rolled 4 times on the highway... so now i wear my seatbelt. that's the wonderful thing about humans...they have to learn everything the hard way. (myself included)
