I love them. Any of the pre 70 Elcaminos have a look about them that just say ... GO! I'd love to see what members have out there. Sure love to see your rides if you're not too bashfull to post.
Here's a (not-so-great) pic of my '68 I used to have . I got it my senior year of high school & had it a few years after . I had a ball with that car .

poor car is on the back burner, after being my daily for about 12 years..........but it WILL live again. I don't have any pics before I started taking trim and bed panels off.
Got a '64 tucked in the back corner of the shop along with a ton of new parts. All I need is time...............anyone got any for sale, cheap? Frank
Here's my old '66 - 454/M21. I used to get about ten offers a month to sell this beauty, and about a hundred compliments a day.
59's and 64's... just got a real p***ion for them in par tic a ler! Gotta post my 64 a little later. This is what the "heartbeat of America"meant.
Here's the build thread on mine. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=460531&highlight=severe+bondo
Not mine but Im looking for more info. In 64-65? Gm gave Gaylord a couple motors to put in his race boats, along with the motors came a ElCo convertable concept car. I heard there were 3 made but where are they now??
Probably not really appropriate for this board, and not terribly fancy, but it was pretty nice and had a good stance, and I dug it. Pics are terrible, but a guy made me an offer I couldn't refuse and I had to snap these real quick before it went away. '66 with a 350 and 700R4. A link to some pics of the project http://velvetcustoms.com/Autos4sale.aspx
Here's mine, not pretty but she's registered to me. Chased a '59 for about 15 years before I got this one. Needs the usual quarters/floors/rockers routine but it'll get there.
Traded a cherry '77 Lincoln for this... did a few things to it... then sold it... then regretted it.. I still do...
The only photo I have of the '64. Wedding Day 1973 LT-1 crate motor with a Smokey Ram intake and an M-21. Stolen about a month after the photo.
Don't we all,.... I know I sound like a broken record,.... But,.. I wish I never sold this one,... 64 Elkie 1969 Hi-comp 350-4bbl., 4 bolt mains, M-22, 3:55 Posi,... SS interior, all around great car,.. drove every day,.. put lots of miles on it, and ran like a scalded dog ! It was always fun to take a daily driver to St. Ignace,...... ( I sold it to a guy in Romulus,... anybody know where it went ?)
Not mine, but here's PasoJohn's '59... the first shot is from the Minneapolis Messaround '07, second shot is from 2010.
Interesting how everyone that sold one wishes he had it back. Re***uring for us with rusted out hulks and high hopes... JH
My 65 in the mid 70's. It had a 327 with 4 speed. Loved the car but had to go to buy a wood hauler. Dumb right!
Here's my baby almost ready for paint. Just tryin to enjoy it before it gets stolen...they already tried once. Love that damn car!
