Hemi powered hot rods??

    Guys these are great keep them coming. I keep looking at the chopped A coupes on deuce rails.It is just something about them.

  3. Well, this has a blower on it, but it's a Hemi anyway...no "bling" wheels, though...

    See fitzee....THATS why we get along.
    All it needs is a 5 window body to make it perfect!!! Hahaha

    BTW...go build something low and slow...your drifting off course. (Not that I can blame you in this case! :))

    What wheels are on your car?? Just had a quick looked through your build post. nice job.Need to go back now and have a closer look. Lots of reading there.

    Jimmy White's car is the one that made me want to build a Hemi powered coupe.
     
  17. Fitzee,

    The wheels are steel 1936 Dodge/Plymouth "artillery" wheels. The fronts are stock (4x16), while the rears had the centers cut out and mounted on 6 in hoops. The wheels were then powder coated as you see them.

    I also have a set of 16in magnesium Halibrands which I will mount with radial tires, so I will have the more correct dirt track look with the Dodge wheels and the dry lake look with the Halibrands.

    Some even have the lonely Desoto 341 hemi. And who needs a stinking 2 door...I just made my own. Was a 31 slant window 4 dr town sedan

    Here is my '40 Ford coupe with a BLOWN 392 Hemi that I sold about 2 years ago. It is only about 1 mile from me and I sure miss it!

    Here's another custom with a 392 Hemi. The car is still work in progress.........the Hemi is finished and waiting to go in. Will have it all up and running this year.

    I don`t know what it is but a chopped A coupe on Deuce rails is just so right. Guess my Hemi project might be just such a car!!
