Air cooled Tatra V8 hot rods

The Czech Republic company TATRA made a really nice air cooled V8 engine in the late '30. This engine is looking great with the two turbine style air coolers.
Did any of those engine ended up in a hot rod?? Would be nice to see some photo's.
(I did find a photo of a ugle bike with a tatra v8....)

 

I´ve seen them in a VW Bug and a VW Bus.
Search Ecorra for a sporty car version of the Tatra though its OT for here.

 

Thanx James for the info but I really would like to see a 30's rod with the Tatra V8...
