It took me about 2 years to find a useable rear drum for my lakes modified, with a '40 banjo rearend in it. I just couldn't afford a new one. Most of the drums I found were worn beyond the point they could be turned. Take your time and wait for a good one to find you. Good Luck ...............Jack
I found a guy in Los Molinos, Ca. that specializes in what he calls Orchard trucks. Lots of early Ford stuff. I've gotten sheet metal and grille braces from him. Very fair prices. I found him in the SFBay area C/L under auto parts. If you want, PM me and I'll give you a phone #.
finding used drums is not hard to do , but finding GOOD used ones can be difficult. check them over carefully and measure them before you spend your money. many have already been turned too far to be safe to use
The nice thing about the aftermarket ones is that they fit outside the hubs. That means you can service the brakes without the pain in the *** of pulling the hubs. I have new ones and I think it's the way to go. Sorry, I didn't answer your question. Pete
