    Found this article and thought you guys might like to read it too. from an old Aviation Yearbook 1950. kinda dumb luck my dad asked me "isnt this what you have lying on the side of the house?" good call dad!

    It's pretty weird how sometimes things this interesting get looked over on here.

    After the war, people were finding unique ways to 'get rid' of the tanks that weren't already scraped.
    By the looks of the photo, B-17s made great fire fighting devices too. So rare today.

    i got another one in the same mag about the F-80 shooting star and how it snowed in the cabin..its wicked ill load it up later
