I presume you are looking for the wheel tread width, the distance from tire to tire, side to side?

The only measurement in wheel tread I find does not state where on the tires the measurement was taken, so one would presume it may have been taken at the wheel mounting surface, or at the center of the tire.

    The book lists a 39 & 40 Plymouth pickup with a tread width of, front = 56", rear = 60" with a 116" wheel base.

    A 41 Plymouth pickup is, front = 55-15/16", rear = 60" with a 116" wheel base.

A 42 Plymouth pickup is, front = 57", rear = 59-15/16" with a 117" wheel base. All trucks list 6.00x16 tires. The slight differences could have been in the width of the wheels, though the wheel base did show a change between 41 and 42 The Plymouth trucks could have been changed over to the Dodge ch***is in 42, since that was the last year of a Plymouth truck.

Plymouth did not make trucks after 42 until the 70s.
Dodge trucks should be close to the same. The Dodge truck body style remained the same from 39 - 47. Gene
