Personaly I plan on driving it daily. Its ment to be fun....the days of this truck working on the farm are over. Its new job is just to drive me around scare the neighbors and most importantly its job is to put a BIG Smile on my face.

A little more "rat" than I prefer, but, hey, you're having fun, right?

I'm glad I finally found the front sheetmetal for my '47 so I didn't have to go the fenderless route. I also know all about the rusted frame deal.....I'm still trying to figure out exactly how I want to apprach repairing mine.

Have fun building it and drive the snot out of it when it's done!

Im running a 66 model for 289. later on I plan on droping a Y-block in it. but for the now the sbf will do. I already had the engine built and sitting in my garage for an old falcon project thats long gone...might as well use the engine to keep the cost of the project down.

Well...here is a quick update. almost every time i made it home to work on my truck it rained. I did manage to redo the header on the p***enger side. Finally got my wiring harness in. The truck in mostly wired up. I still need to bleed the brakes and finish up the fuel lines. I am hopeing to be able to have the truck up & running the next time I am home. & hopefully i can finish up the body work & get some paint on it as well..lol.
It is killing me being not being able to work on my truck. what I wouldnt give for a shop or garage to work in right now.

the fact that your planning on paint and that you made everything proportioned is your saving grace on this truck.

So many things look better one color!

    I dig that last shot.

Ever thought of maybe a nose off of a 40s dodge truck? Section it and make it fit.

I thought I would throw a few more pics on here. I am hopeing to have my truck up and running when I get to take my next block leave. I am down to most of the small stuff right now. I need to finish the fuel system..mainly connecting it to the tank, bleeding the brakes, finish up the wiring, install the gauges, finish the trans tunnel & make the grill. I should be able to do all that within 2 weeks...i hope. & if i have time left over it will all be for body work. new front & rear cab corners (which im about to order)

Well ladies and gentleman. I Sold my little hot rod truck. Im a little sad about it but I have a great project to replace it. I picked up a 56 Mercury that has been chopped 4 inches. it will be a sweet little ride.
