    looking for pics of old school 49-54 chevy drag cars for inspiration on one of my projects. actual old drag cars or remakes, doesn't matter.

    yes, a pontiac would work as well. actually, any 50's drag cars would work. i just bought a 53-54 chevy hardtop (no ***le yet), and i'm thinking of going the drag car route. looking for ideas.

    Don't have pics but sounds like a cool project. I am going that route with my 51 it's the style I grew up with just applying it to an older car.

    There used to be a lot of nice looking 55-57 Chevy's on the strip, but there's just something extra cool about the previous generation Chevy's in strip form. They were a pretty rare sight. We had a local neighborhood guy back in the day that had a '50 Chevy Coupe with a warmed over 283 and a floor shifted 3 speed. It saw some strip duty at times. Corvette Blue with a Black roll & pleat interior. It was a really neat car.
