I'm just starting on my KB and trying to decide whether to use my existing frame or to use a S10 frame. I have both frames. I want something I can drive across the country if I want.

Go with the s10 i did and am glad i did. The s10 frame rails are shorter and it drops the cab way over the frame like its channeled. All you have to do is cut the s10 frame rails even with the steering box and make new cab mounts and fender mounts and the wheels will be centered in the wheel wells. You wont be able to use the inner fender panels from the international unless you cut them up. I used a shortbed s10 and and made a new bed box and reused the original stake pockets and fenders. Good luck.

I took the long road. I sliced out 9 3/4 out of the frame, boxed it and added IFS cross member and rack. The motor mounts and trans mounts are welded to the boxed frame. Then the rear springs were moved inside the frame and tucked up the width of the frame member basically dropping the rear down 6 inches. I then added K supports. Like I said, I took the long road - not necessarily the right one. Then again there weren't any S10s to use when I started.....

I had a s10 frame but opted for Fatman Mustang 11,,would have had to alter inside of truck box to get it down over frame rails

Use a 1967-87 Chev/GMC C-10 pickup bolt on front end and the original frame.
